Now, if I could figure out how to uninstall window 11. This is coming from an avid MS fan, why? I live 1 mile from One Microsoft way for 20+ years and no I don't work there, never have.
I am curious to run Android apps though outside of an emulator. I see very little reason to run it, it works and is missing features I used in windows 10.
Really pains me to says this, after running Win11 since October 1st. Microsoft is killing one of my most beloved Windows 10 features, a versatile tool that I use every single day.
I see what they were trying to do by removing the timeline feature and integrating it into the START but they have seriously screwed us over if we were to install Win11. We use the PC for email, printing labels, and other shared content throughout the day, and if I needed to know what someone did, it was right there. In the next window, click the green 'Publish' button. Don't set your Timeline Google Sheet to 'anyone with the link can edit.' It isn't necessary, and could lead to someone changing your timeline without your consent. It keeps track of what everyone did in case there is a question. Under the File menu, Share submenu, select Publish to the Web. It provides you with possibility to compare, put together, collate and analyze any data. Don’t worry you won’t need to update right away. Timeline is a new tool which will allow the user to get right back to where he left off. The user can easily forget which site or app he was using or where he saved a file. While the Timeline feature is well and good and working on Windows 10, it is being killed off on Windows 11 (the next big Windows update). According to the press release, the company is thinking of simplifying how you can get back to stuff you were working on in the past. But overall, this is a great new feature that feels like it should have been part of Windows 10 all along. But I’ve found most of them do - most importantly Chrome - and you might notice a few stragglers. Not all developers have configured their apps to integrate with Timeline yet.
You will probably notice that Timeline definitely works best with Microsoft apps like Edge, News, Weather, and Microsoft 365 (formerly O365). But Timeline is like Task View on steroids. You should also know that Task View is still available, just hit Alt + Tab, and you will see your open tasks like with earlier versions. It’s worth noting that you can also clear your activity history if you want a fresh start. This will allow you to drill down on a specific document or app you were working on. Select the search icon, and you can search through all of the Activities listed on Timeline. You can move the slider on the right with your mouse to scroll through (or swipe on a touchscreen) to view your past activities. Microsoft calls them Activities and shows what you were working with at any given time. Timeline will display a history of apps and documents you have been using across synced Windows 10 devices. Or, for keyboard warriors, hit Windows Key + Tab on your keyboard. To launch Timeline, you can click the new icon located next to the Cortana Search box on the Taskbar.
